3 weeks passed already in Iceland, only 2 more remain. Here are some pictures from the first part of my stay:

Viking turf houses!
Mt Hekla! the Volcano we can see from our front yard. Literally due to erupt any month now...
Desertscape of Iceland
Laura and I at Gulfoss, we stood right in front of the falls and asked a man to take our picture. He picked the sky for a background instead of this:

Doylesons visit Portugal

My Mother and my brother Grady came to visit Portugal for the first week of May.  In all honesty I can say that we had a nearly perfect week together.  We toured Lisbon, Evora, the Algarve, and Sintra along with a day trip into Seville.  Here are some of the highlights:
Tomb made entirely of human remains in Evora

Temple Diana, oldest Roman ruin in Portugal
Culatra, a tiny fishing village off the coast of Olhao, located on the Southern coast of Portugal.
Alcazar of Seville, a palace and former fortress in Seville. AMAZING
Spugett?
Plaza del something in Seville?
Rio Tejo in Lisbon.
Sao Jorge in Lisbon

Profile pic pep pep?

Tiles.

National Palace in Sintra. Those are chimneys for the kitchen.
Moorish castle in Sintra.

Look at the color of the floor tiling in this chapel!

Another palace in Sintra
On the West Coast of Portugal

Only a taste of everything we did ... we also were able to return to one of my WWOOF hosts and stay at her guesthouse near Tavira.

Now I have followed Laura to Iceland. We are volunteering on a farm together in the Southern part of the country.  Helping hundreds of sheep during a hectic lambing season and turning rhubarb into delicious candies and jams.  More pictures on the way!!
